On October 15, Apple unveiled the latest model of its Apple Vision Pro VR headset. The new version features a powerful “M5” chip for enhanced performance and includes a more comfortable “Dual Knit Band.”
The new M5 chip, built using a 3-nanometer process, features a 10-core CPU and a 10-core GPU. This allows for improved graphics rendering and faster AI processing, leading to quicker app load times and a sharper, smoother visual experience. The battery life has also been slightly improved, now lasting up to 2.5 hours for general use.

Comfort, a key point of feedback on the original model, has been addressed. The newly designed “Dual Knit Band” features better cushioning and breathability, using upper and lower straps to securely support the back of the head, making it less fatiguing for longer sessions. This new band will also be sold separately for $99 and is compatible with the previous model.
Pricing for the new Apple Vision Pro starts at $3,499 for the 256GB model. Pre-orders are now open, and it will be available in stores starting October 22.
